What do you get when you cross a product designer with a dog trainer? Introducing Major Darling: a design-led ethically made pet goods brand based in Austin, Texas. Founder, Laura Davis, is a product designer by trade and a shelter dog trainer by trade. She decided to combine her two passions, dogs and design, and Major Darling was born! She gives back to the community by using a manufacturer that supports local refugee women through fair wage labor. Throughout its advertising, Major Darling features adoptable dogs in hopes of finding them the perfect home. (And because they're damn cute.) What's the name all about, you ask? Well, for Major Darling, and almost certainly for you, our dogs play an important role in our lives. They're not just pets. They're family members. Furry, silly, loving, trusting, adorable family.
